Dealing with the pain and limited mobility associated with an injury or illness can be stressful for so many reasons. You might have questions like, “How long will I be sidelined?” and “What do I need to do to get better?” Or maybe you’re worried about how you’ll pick your children up from school, take a walk with your friends or prepare meals for your family.
These are all perfectly normal concerns. Luckily, there are some ways that you can gain control over the situation and ensure that you return to the activities you care most about—especially if physical therapy is part of your plan.
Over the years we have both needed physical therapy after various injuries and surgeries. Recently we were referred to Athlon by Carl’s surgeon and Gail’s primary healthcare provider. The care that we’ve received at Athlon has been excellent. The big difference we see when comparing Athlon to other therapists we have visited is the atmosphere and attitude of the entire staff. When you walk in you are greeted with a smile at the front desk and after a couple of visits, everyone knows your name. They greet you with a smile, a wave and a “Hi”! You feel like a member of the Athlon family and less like another patient. All the therapists and assistants show genuine interest in helping you understand your treatment and achieving your goals to improve your way of life. Gail will need physical therapy again soon for a hip replacement. She has requested Athlon be her therapist after her surgery.
